DAVID ROWE’S INTERVIEW ON PEOPLES BIKE OF CHINA

The director of To Live & Ride in L.A., David Rowe was hit up by the website People’s Bike, a cool hub for urban cycling in China. Unsurprisingly, the land of the most bikes in the world (probably mostly brakeless, not bc of the trend) is seriously down with fixed gears now. It’s dope to see that they’ve got alleycats and trick comps over in Shanghai, in probably the busiest streets I’ve ever seen in world. They hit David up not too long ago, about a screening of FAST FRIDAY and now an interview where they asked him about living in L.A. now, drunken party rides, and his new upcoming film. Call of The Wild Race Coverage

This past weekend, despite the wet gravel and numerous swamp like puddles, a few Los Angeles riders competed in the first ever Chubby-Boob Hang Tag Race. The racers had to battle it out with each other and the elements. In the end Kyle Kelly ended up Hanging the first hang tag which meant he clutched the first place podium position. Enjoy the pictures, and i hope this even will grow with each race. Be on the look out for the next one this coming spring!

CADENCE x FAST FRIDAY x DVS SHOES

Dustin sent me a pair of his new shoe colab with DVS. Been wearing
them for about a month now and can’t take them off, they’re too
comfortable! Nice work Dustin! Look for them in shops when they hit
the streets in May. I’ll definitely be buying another pair, love the
yellow ones too.

“Stairways to Heaven” Screening

Victor and Ricardo threw an amazing even showcasing a race that our friends over at Take Over LA organized. That day i missed out on the race because of work, but watching it captured the tone of the race that started in Downtown Los Angeles. By the end, Matt Ruscgino took the win from Hern and Ricardo Mejia. Tony Z contributed the footage that was shown at the screening. The voices over were done tastefully and fully contributed nicely to showcase what was going through the racers heads. I hope this makes it in to this years BFF. Here are some stills from the screening.

“Call of The Wild” – A Chubby Boob Race

Team Chubby Boob is throwing a race next week that goes around Griffith Park, LA’s training ground for cyclists. This is a good race to see where you stack up against your peers. A route with a good mix of climbing, sprinting, and endurance. The best part about it is that; the race is free, it ends at a block party, and it’s being hosted by TRAFIK’s riders. Come out, show and prove and win!
